Finished Size: 12" x 12"

Sitting on the north bank of the Potomac river, Washington D.C. (District of Columbia) is the capital of the United States. Not part of any state, DC is a separate area that serves as the headquarters for all three branches of the federal government and is overseen by it as well. With a diverse economy, almost every industry is represented. It is also a crucial cultural center with many world class museums, galleries, and theaters. A circling double pinwheel is a reference of the highly political nature of the city.
