Finished Size: 12" x 12"

Located only 8 miles from Manhattan (New York City), Newark is the largest city in New Jersey. Newark was originally founded in 1666 by Puritans from the New Haven, Connecticut colony. Today it is an extremely diverse city and is one of the largest centers for insurance companies in the country. It also has a large port that serves Northern New Jersey and New York, as well as home to a number of colleges and universities. Referencing Newark's Puritan roots, this block depicts a series of four hearts nestled between the points of a narrow star.
