Located at the southern edge of Pakistan on the Arabian Sea, Karachi is one of the most populated cities in the world. It's seaside location boasts one the largest and busiest ports and well as making it center for banking, finance, and the arts. With a blend of classical European and Islamic architecture, the city is diverse. Referencing a Hindu story that describes the glorious beauty of Pakistan's Swat Valley, this block depicts a delicate flower that might be found in Udayana, or a garden. It can also be seen as a rising sun, which the the Sanskrit meaning of the word udayana.
