Finished Size: 12" x 12"

Situated across the Hudson from Manhattan, Jersey City, New Jersey, is often thought of as New York City's sixth borough. Originally inhabited by the Lenape Indians, Henry Hudson first explored this area in 1609. After visits from the Dutch India West Company, the Dutch province of New Nederland was established on the site. A thriving dock and industrial city, Jersey City is like an extension of New York City with skyscrapers dominating its shoreline. This prominent double star block reminds us of Delft pottery, an homage to its Dutch heritage.
