Description

Finished Size: 12" x 12"

Taking its nickname from the fact that it is located exactly one mile above sea level, Denver, Colorado is the "Mile High City." Denver was founded as a mining town during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush and later became a frontier town that served miners needs with saloons, gambling, and goods. Today, Denver's location between the large cities of the West Coast and the Midwest make it a natural hub for transportation and trade. Swirling pinwheels and mountain-shaped triangles in this block are reminiscent of Denver's geography.
