Finished Size: 12" x 12"
Surrounded by mountains, Colorado Springs, Colorado sits at the base of well-known Pike's Peak. Figuring prominently in the Gold Rush, ore mills in Old Colorado City, now a district in Colorado Springs, processed gold from large strikes found in both nearby Cripple Creek and Pike's Peak. In recognition of both it's role in the Gold Rush and unique geography, this block is an eight-pointed star with spiky arms.
