Cincinnati, Ohio's location on the Ohio river brought it prosperity in the 19th century that rivaled the port cities of the East Coast. The city's nickname "Seven Hills," is thought to come from the belief that original city of Cincinnati included seven hilly areas or mounts. With the growth of Cincinnati to become the third largest city in Ohio, there are now more than seven original "hills." A delightful double star paper pieced quilt bock designed by Liz Schwartz & Stephen Seifert compliments the hills, bluffs, and ridges that dot the landscape.
