Bogota is the capitol of Colombia and one of the largest cities in Latin America. It is a center for learning with many universities and libraries. The floral design of this block was influenced by José Celestino Mutis' Botanic Expedition, one of the most important contributions to scientific knowledge. He led expeditions through Columbia and documented hundreds of new plant and animal species.
