Description
Finished Size: 12" x 12:
Taking its name from a reddish-brown pole that separated Indian hunting grounds, the name Baton Rouge literally means red stick. A rich tapestry of cultures and history impart this Louisiana capitol city with a characteristic flair. Geographically, it sits on a bluff which helps to protect the city from hurricanes and floods. A star-in-star block resembles a crossed road, suggestive of the struggle between the French and British for control of this region.
